The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Fire Services (NLAFS), are
beginning preparations for our 2026 Annual Convention, and we are inviting all member
departments to submit resolutions for consideration.
Resolutions play a critical role in shaping the direction, priorities, and advocacy efforts of
NLAFS. They provide members with the opportunity to bring forward issues, propose changes,
and influence decisions that impact the fire service across the province.
We encourage you to review your department’s priorities and consider submitting resolutions on
matters such as:
Fire service operations and safety
Training and professional development
Legislative or regulatory concerns
Funding and resource allocation
Any other issues affecting your department or region
Submission Details:
Please submit resolutions in writing using the NLAFS Resolution Template
Include a clear description of the issue and the proposed action or outcome
Ensure submissions are endorsed by your department or organization
Deadline for Submission: August 15th, 2026
